On August 25, 2022, at the Zanavykai Museum, the ceremonial opening of the Craftsmen’s House was held, attended by representatives of our community. On that day, the international conference „Let’s meet in the middle of the road” took place, summarizing the project „On the way of culture and craftsmanship – Sakiai-Budry”.
The speakers during the meeting were: Violeta Kasperavičiūtė – Department of Cultural Heritage at the Ministry of Culture – adviser to the Alytus-Marijampole department, Józef Markiewicz – Mayor of the Budry Commune, Edgaras Pilypaitis – Mayor of Sakiai, chairman of the regional development council in Mariampole, Anna Kowalewska – Deputy Commune Administrator – Mayor the project „On the way of culture and crafts – Sakiai – Budry”, Rima Vasaitienė – director of the Zanavykai Museum, Adam Petrėtis – project manager of the Joint Technical Secretariat, and Titas Ukrinas – UAB „Gluk Media” project manager. During the conference, Józef Markiewicz and Anna Kowalewska expressed their thanks for their contribution and work in the development of the Cultural Mill. At the end of the meeting, an agreement was signed to continue cooperation between the institutions and organizations of Sakiai and Budry municipalities.
