The Zanavykai Museum, located in the Zypliai Manor Ensemble’s Chariot Building, invites you to learn from the guide the history of zanavykai, zanavykai culture, household, and crafts. Zanavykai Museum on 1st of September 2020 started to implement the project “On the way of culture and crafts – Šakiai – Budry”, project number LT-PL-4R-330. During the implementation of the project, it is planned to carry out renovation works of the Artisans House, adapting it to educational activities. All the necessary interactive equipment and expositions will also be purchased for educational activities. During the implementation of the project, four educational programs will be created: weaving, baking bread, multicolor painting on wooden products and wood carving.
During the project, together with the project partner, the municipality of Budry, will be created a common tourist route and organized a cross- border bicycle tour. At the end of the project, Zanavykai Museum will organize a final project conference where the results of the project will be presented.
Total value of the project in Zanavykai Museum: 378 226,82 EUR
– including co-financing by the European Union under the European Regional Development Fund: 321 492,79 EUR (85%),
– from own resources: 56 734,03 EUR (15%)
