The Węgorapa Valley

The majority of the commune area belongs to the “Wegorapa Valley”. The valley is crossed by the meandering Węgorapa and Gołdapa Rivers, which resembles a mountain river in some sections.

The Węgorapa River, about 140 km long, is an excellent canoeing route for those who do not like crowded rafting. There are many natural obstacles on the river: fallen trees and branches, providing many experiences for thrill-seeking kayakers. These rivers are attractive not only for canoe tourism, but also for angling and water recreation.
